INTR 1002 – Information Architecture 1

Posted on by

George Brown College – Winter 2021

Course Description: Information Architecture (IA) focuses on the organization, construction and navigation of online content, in an effort to aid users in navigating complex information environments. Ultimately, the interdisciplinary field of information architecture is concerned with the linear structure and presentation of information, contrasting the visual realm of web design. Students will learn the principles, processes and components (organize, label, navigate and search) of information architecture, from a user-centered design approach. The course prepares students for the companion course Information Architecture 2 (INTR1012) where they will learn to develop interactive content using scripting languages.
