It is a day to remember that we must protect children from the risk of participating in the horrors of armed conflict.Can the Minister of National Defence update the House on the progress our government is making on Roméo Dallaire's initiative to prevent the use of child soldiers and our re-engagement with the United Nations?

We have seen extensive damage, as well as gestures of solidarity and cases of neighbours helping neighbours during this difficult time.Can the Minister of Public Safety tell us how the government is supporting the affected communities?
